The AIRTEC Motorsport DCT Cooler Upgrade for the BMW E9x M3 is a comprehensive kit designed specifically for the E9x platform, featuring a core that is 218% larger than the standard DCT cooler, together with a 118% increase in frontal area compared to standard.
During extended track or fast road use with increased power levels, the DCT's oil temperature can rise to the point where the ECU limits torque output and triggers limp mode — or even causes permanent damage. The AIRTEC Motorsport cooler was track-tested back-to-back at the Nürburgring in May 2025, demonstrating a 100% improvement in heat rejection — reducing peak oil temperature from 36% efficiency to 36% on the AIRTEC unit, removing up to 24°C of gearbox oil temperature versus just 12°C on the standard cooler.
