AIRTEC Motorsport Enclosed CAIS for Toyota Yaris GR Gen 1/2

The AIRTEC enclosed induction system (CAIS) replaces the GR Yaris airbox with a sealed composite box that only draws cold air from the front of the car. Open-cone filters can suck in hot air from the engine bay; this sealed design is meant to stop that and keep intake temperatures as low as possible. It also sounds better and looks the part under the bonnet.

Tested results

• Independent test by Tegiwa Imports: standard airbox 277bhp / 272.2lb ft, AIRTEC CAIS 289.3bhp / 275.9lb ft, a gain of 12.3bhp
• On AIRTEC's own development car, the CAIS made 335bhp, 5bhp more than AIRTEC's open-filter kit

Enclosed or open?

If your budget is tighter, AIRTEC's open induction kit is the alternative, but the enclosed CAIS was the stronger performer in AIRTEC's own testing. Add the enlarged turbo elbow and a catch can to finish off the intake side.

Questions we get asked

Will it make the car louder?
You'll hear more induction noise under the bonnet, particularly as the turbo spools. Exhaust volume doesn't change.

Do I need a remap?
No, but gains are bigger on a mapped car. See our Stage 1 ECU map.
