As a differential operates, normal wear creates microscopic ferrous particles that circulate in the oil. These metal fragments accelerate wear as they pass repeatedly through gears and bearings. The MMX magnetic diff plug captures this harmful debris, helping to reduce internal wear and prolong differential lifespan.
Featuring a large-surface-area magnetic tip, the plug is highly effective at collecting metallic particles, particularly on vehicles that are driven hard, modified, or regularly serviced. The harder the differential works, the greater the benefit of magnetic filtration.
Manufactured from lightweight T6-6061 aluminium and finished in MMX’s trademark anodising, the plug is supplied with a new sealing washer for a secure, leak-free installation. It’s a direct replacement for the factory plug and installs easily during routine servicing.
